One year ago today Joe and I were in Jamaica for our friends’ wedding. This past week I have been dreaming of that vacation as it was our last time as a couple to spend the night away from our kids. Now, I know there are plenty of parents who never get time away from their kids – whether they want to or not. But I happen to think it’s healthy for a husband and wife to get away. Even for just a night.
For weeks prior to this trip I practiced and practiced “Over the Rainbow” on my ukulele as I was going to provide the ceremonial wedding music. Talk about pressure. I ended up loving the experience
Thank you Yael and Bryan for including Joe and me in your special day. Our next night away just might be in London…
Until then, I’ll keep dreaming.

It really IS nice to get away sometimes. When you can just be husband and wife, best friends, AND you can do ‘grown up’ things without a care in the world… It’s so refreshing not to be Mommy and Daddy, cook, maid, nurse, (_________ <—-put your additional unpaid fulltime job here) even if only for one night.
Mark and I are going away just for a few days next week to begin our house hunt in Florida, and each day, I get more excited about the opportunity just to be alone with him.

Uh oh I am late here… but I must say we watched our wedding video Monday night and you and Joe made the wedding- and we love watching you get down on the dance floor! There is a store in London that only sells ukuleles and it makes me long for your incredible version of Iz’s masterpiece.
London would love to have you.
