(Meant to be sung…you know the tune)
Hungry, hungry
I know you’re hungry
I haven’t cooked since 2005
Where’s my apron?
What’s an apron?
How ’bout another bowl of Grape-nuts tonight?
Take out, take out
Let’s order take out
I didn’t get to the store today
Chinese? Pizza?
What’s your fancy?
Where’s your wallet so I can pay?
Rachel, Rachel
What’s your secret?
I need 30 minutes to toast my bread.
If I hear you say E-V-O-O
One more time I’ll scream till I’m red.
Honey, Honey
I think I’m ready
I think its time to change my ways
But I still don’t have food for tonight
So may I suggest bologna and mayonnaise?
“Why doesn’t Joe try cooking for once?” you might ask. Believe me, he has tried. And I’ll just go ahead and say it. We are ALL better off if he leaves food prep up to the rest of us. He can make a mean batch of brownies though.

OK, I give. What’s the tune??
LOL! I wonder why we don’t fast more often.
I have one of those kind of men, too. He likes to be in the kitchen (where ever I am) when I cook - usually in the way. I just give him a cup of coffee, take him gently by the shoulders, and softly say “stand here”. Can’t even make grilled cheese sandwiches.
What’s on your menu for tonight? We’re having hamburger helper. There’s NO SHAME in HH. Someday your kids (mine are 16 and 20) can make HH for you, and it will be so good! Trust me on this! A bagged salad, rolls, and voilĂ ! A complete meal. And I don’t have to do a thing.
Simplify, and quit kicking yourself in the bum for not being perfect!

[...] would love to cook Laura and the kids a meal that is fresh and delicious. Problem is, I can’t cook. Really, I can’t. I’ve tried and the times I’ve tried have turned into disasters. [...]
