On Friday we asked our nurse if she could work a late shift and come from 3-11pm instead of 9-5pm. This allowed Joe and I to walk down the street, drop Sophia off at one of her very best friend’s apartment, walk down the street a little more and enjoy a quiet dinner together at Frankies.
After dinner we walked back down the street toward our apartment and stopped in at the local theater to see this movie. While waiting for the movie to begin, we got a call from our nurse saying that Ira was insisting on sleeping in his big boy bed. He had been taking his naps in this bed but had yet to spend the night in it. She asked me if it was ok. How could I refuse? Who am I to stop a big boy from sleeping in his big bed?
The next morning we (Joe) took down the crib in the living room. Aahhh…so much space!
So last night after I got both kids tucked into bed in the same room, what did I do? I turned off all the lights in the living room as if Ira were still asleep in it, went into my room and turned on the little tv next to our bed; just like we’ve done for the last two years. No lounging on the couch watching tv with the volume turned up or curling up on the couch with a blanket and good book. No, I climbed under my covers and stayed in my room just like always. I guess you could say I’m a creature of habit. Oh well. Give me some time…:)

Yay for date night and quaint little theaters with “different” movies to see! I am so excited for you and all the changes going on around you all.

HA! I love how in Brooklyn a new corner in a room opens new magical portals for us….we of little space.
Ira is calling the shots now. I’m looking forward to his next big idea. That boy just rocks my world.
